MEET THE TEAM
TIMOTHY L. ROBINSON, DDS
Dr. Tim Robinson has been practicing dentistry in Lake Charles for more than 30 years. His father and grandfather were also dentists. Dr. Robinson is a graduate of Barbe High School, McNeese State University and LSU School of Dentistry, and completed the University of Alabama’s Extended Course in IV Sedation. He has offered his patients sedation dentistry for more than a decade, allowing them to have a more relaxed and comfortable dental experience.
Dr. Robinson holds memberships in the American Dental Association, the Louisiana Dental Association, the Southwest District Dental Association and the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation
ROLANDO TAPIA, DDS
Dr. Tapia received his bachelor’s degree from Loyola Unviersity in Chicago and his doctorate in dental surgery from the New York University College of Dentistry. He completed his general practice residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center and has extensive experience in endodontics, oral surgery, and prosthetic dentistry, including dental implants, crowns, bridges and veneers. Dr. Tapia is a member of the American Dental Association and Louisiana Dental Association. He is also certified to perform Invisalign orthodontic procedures.
JONATHON RUSNAK, DDS
Dr. Rusnak is a Lake Charles native and a graduate of Barbe High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from LSU and his doctorate in dental surgery from the LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans. He completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Dentistry in the areas of Prosthodontics and Oral Surgery. He is certified in IV sedation techniques.
Dr. Rusnak has volunteered with Special Smiles, a dental program that works in conjunction with the Special Olympics, and with Habitat for Humanity. As part of his training in dental implants, he participated in a mission trip to the Dominican Republic, providing implants for people who would not otherwise have access to dental care. He also volunteered with Latin World Ministries and traveled to Atoyac de Alvarez, Mexico, to provide dental services to the impoverished. Dr. Rusnak holds memberships in the following professional organizations: American Dental Association; Fellow, American Dental Implant Association; Academy of General Dentistry; Louisiana Dental Association; and Southwest District Dental Association.
SARA PHILLIPS, DDS
Dr. Sara Phillips graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelor’s degree in nutritional science before receiving her doctorate of dental surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School in 2014. After graduating, Dr. Phillips worked in Rhode Island and was the lead dentist for a community health clinic where there was a concentration in dentures, oral surgery and root canals as well as all aspects of restorative dentistry. Dr. Phillips is a member of the American Dental Society.
MARK WHATCOTT, DDS
Dr. Mark Whatcott received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas and his doctorate in dental surgery from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans. He is a member of the Louisiana Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. His extensive volunteer work includes providing dental treatment and screenings to children through the After Hours Clinic and participating in a free sealant placement program while at LSU. He lives with his wife Lauren and two children in Lake Charles.
Dr. Ryne Jackson, DMD, received his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Utah and his doctorate in dental medicine from the Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry in Pennsylvania, where he graduated summa cum laude. He was selected for Honors Endodontic and Honors Oral Surgery programs, and was awarded the Outstanding Student in Implant Dentistry award. He is skilled in General Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Oral Surgery, Endodontics, Invisalign Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry. His volunteer service includes providing mobile dental services for geriatric patients in Philadelphia, working with the American Red Cross’s holocaust recovery and refugee services, doing missionary work in French Polynesia, and teaching children at his church.
